Caitlin A. Baunsgard
Caitlin Baunsgard is an associate at Kirkpatrick & Startzel. Her practice focuses primarily on criminal law and criminal defense. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Special Deputy Prosecutor with the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office. She also worked as a criminal intelligence analyst for the Washington State Patrol.
A Seattle native, Caitlin attended the University of Washington and earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. She graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Washington state and federal courts.
While in law school, Caitlin worked as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington, where she assisted in the prosecution of civil and criminal cases and drafted Ninth Circuit appeals. Caitlin also gained trial experience by prosecuting the federal misdemeanor docket before the U.S. Magistrate. Caitlin also interned at the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office and was an Associate Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review.
